Data Analysts Top the List of Russia’s Highest-Paid Jobs
IT professionals continue to dominate the job market as demand for data-driven expertise grows across industries.

Russia’s data analysts have become the country’s best-paid office professionals, according to a new report by Avito Rabota, one of the largest online employment platforms. The average monthly salary for data analysts now reaches 154,000 rubles (about $1,700) — up 2% from last year. Their work focuses on collecting and interpreting large datasets to help businesses make strategic, evidence-based decisions.
Developers and Business Analysts Close Behind
Software developers follow closely, with an average salary of 130,000 rubles ($1,450) per month — a 7% year-on-year increase. Business analysts rank third, with average pay jumping 39% to 129,000 rubles ($1,440), driven by growing demand for professionals who can transform sales and operational data into business insights.
IT Demand Keeps Climbing
The long-term trend of hiring programmers, developers, and data specialists in both the private and public sectors shows no sign of slowing down. As Russian businesses and government agencies continue to digitalize operations and adopt new technologies, the competition for skilled IT professionals remains fierce.
This demand is also shaping education trends. In 2025, information technology became the most popular field among university applicants, reflecting how digital transformation is reshaping the country’s workforce and economy.
