Nadezhdinsky metallurgichesky zavod, part of Norilsk Nickel, has deployed the domestic software Databriz for major furnace overhauls. The digital platform coordinates hundreds of specialists, prevents deadline overruns, optimizes resources and minimizes downtime.

“The core function of the service is schedule management, resource calculation and critical path modeling. Any deviation in this type of work shifts the timeline of the entire project. A mobile application for contractors and supervisors responsible for acceptance helps keep the schedule up to date. They enter real-time status data, and the project plan automatically recalculates,” said Dmitry Sukhostavsky, director of reliability, methodology and development at Norilsk Nickel’s Polar Division.

Transparent Oversight and Resource Reallocation

The system links web platforms for planners with a mobile app for field crews. That integration reduces the time spent on coordination and reporting. Paper spreadsheets have been replaced with app-based data, allowing supervisors to approve completed work during on-site inspections.

The platform records every deviation from the schedule and immediately flags discrepancies for review. Plant director Vitaly Muravyov said the digital service clearly maps task dependencies, crew workloads and operational bottlenecks, enabling managers to reassign resources to critical areas to save time and reduce costs.

Management plans to integrate Databriz with video surveillance systems, access control and 3D equipment models.
