A digital online platform for primary veterinary care has been developed in Chuvashia. Called Agroskan (Agroscan), it uses artificial intelligence technologies and allows farmers to stay in regular contact with state veterinary clinics.
Users must register to access the platform. They can then share their observations and photos of animals. To clarify the situation, the AI asks follow-up questions to build a more complete picture of the animal’s condition. The system then generates a preliminary report with recommendations, after which the platform helps users schedule an appointment with a veterinarian.
The service quickly identifies the nearest available option for an appointment or an on-site visit, helping animal owners get veterinary assistance more quickly.
The developers plan to expand the platform’s functionality in the future by adding scenarios for large farms, veterinary clinics and government agencies. They also plan to simplify the interface further, shortening the path from the first symptoms to veterinary care.
