IBS and Gazinformservice Sign Partnership Agreement

Major Russian IT companies IBS and Gazinformservice have signed a partnership agreement to jointly develop information security solutions, including access management systems and mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access.

A Synergistic Combination of Expertise

Gazinformservice LLC is one of Russia’s largest system integrators and developers of information security tools. Its product portfolio includes Ankey IDM (Identity Management), a system for managing user accounts and access rights. IBS is a major IT integrator and software developer with its own tools for segregation of duties analysis, commonly referred to as SoD analytics. The partnership is aimed at combining the technological strengths of both companies to create more comprehensive protection for corporate IT environments. It is expected to reinforce the domestic market for cybersecurity and access management solutions, which is especially important amid growing demand from Russian companies for technologies that do not rely on foreign vendors.

Reducing Dependence on Foreign Products

In the medium term, Russia is expected to see rising demand for domestic IAM solutions and SoD analytics, particularly among large enterprises and the public sector. The partnership creates an opportunity to offer customers integrated, secure solutions that reduce reliance on foreign products in critical segments. It could also lead to the emergence of new integrated products and services, such as platforms that automate access control while providing deeper analysis of segregation of duties conflicts.

At this stage, the primary focus remains the domestic market, which is shaped by strict regulatory and corporate security requirements. Export potential for future joint products is limited by global competition and sanctions-related risks. That said, integrated solutions may still find demand in countries with similar security requirements. The main challenge is competition with global IAM market leaders such as Okta and Microsoft Entra, which benefit from mature international ecosystems and substantial resources.

IBS has extensive experience in managing segregation of duties conflicts and its own ready-made solution in this area. Beyond information security expertise, our partner has a deep understanding of industry specifics, has ensured business continuity for the largest players in the Russian economy for many years, and holds leading positions in the consulting market. Together, we will be better positioned to understand the needs of domestic companies and protect them from incidents that could lead to significant financial and reputational losses

Mutual Technological Complementarity

There are other examples of similar partnerships in Russia. On August 1, 2024, Gazinformservice launched a new partner program built around distribution channels. Its first official distributors were MONT and OCS. MONT offered customers Gazinformservice’s core software products and provided technical support for the vendor’s solutions. As of February 4, 2026, Gazinformservice had entered into a partnership agreement with IBS. Under this collaboration, the companies plan to deliver integrated software solutions for secure access management to corporate systems.

IBS also works with other Russian IT companies on large-scale digital transformation projects. For example, at the Digital Transportation 2024 forum, IBS signed a bilateral agreement with the Galaktika corporation. The partnership enables joint delivery of comprehensive digitalization projects for leading companies across Russia’s economy, including major transport enterprises. IBS has also announced cooperation with Directum, with the stated goal of pooling expertise to develop and deploy advanced digital transformation solutions for large businesses.

These alliances reflect a broader trend. Russian integrators and developers are increasingly complementing each other technologically, particularly in the cybersecurity domain.

A Foundation for Integrated Solutions

This partnership is not merely a public relations initiative. It lays the groundwork for integrated solutions at the intersection of IAM and SoD analytics, which are especially relevant for corporate customers with large and complex infrastructures. At the same time, it strengthens the position of domestic information security vendors and reduces dependence on Western products in the context of sanctions and import substitution policies.

Over the next one to two years, pilot integrated products based on the partners’ joint developments are expected to emerge, targeting the large corporate segment. An expansion of the partner ecosystem is also likely, including the involvement of local system integrators to deploy solutions across different industries.
