In Russia, the Digital Ruble Is Set to Power a New Charity Platform
Donors will be able to track charitable contributions at every stage, all the way to the final beneficiary.

Russia is launching a digital platform that will allow donors to trace every contribution from the initial transfer to a concrete, measurable outcome. Transactions will be carried out using the digital ruble.
Transparent Donations
The new service is being built on the Dobro.rf (national volunteering platform) with the participation of Alfa-Bank and will leverage the full functionality of the digital ruble. The system will record and track the movement of funds at every stage, from the moment a donation is made to its actual use in social projects. According to Dobro.rf’s press service, the platform is expected to increase trust in charitable initiatives and make participation easier for citizens.
Government Backing
The initiative has been endorsed by the Russian government. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko instructed the Finance Ministry and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) to work on the platform’s development together with Dobro.rf and the Bank of Russia. To launch the service, the parties signed a cooperation agreement.
The agreement was signed by Dobro.rf ecosystem head Artyom Metelev and Alfa-Bank chief managing director Vladimir Verkhoshinsky. The document covers not only the creation of the platform, but also the exchange of expertise in the fields of charity and volunteering.
The organizers also plan to support social projects run by nonprofit organizations, develop incentive systems for volunteers and charitable foundations, and launch educational programs for volunteers, including courses in financial literacy. Special attention will be given to initiatives for students and schoolchildren, as well as targeted and humanitarian aid in the regions.
Integration With Public Services
According to Artyom Metelev, the new platform could attract more people to charitable projects by offering clear and transparent tools.
