MIPT and LANIT to Launch Joint IT Training Programs
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Laboratory of New Information Technologies have signed an agreement under an initiative by Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development to involve IT companies in training technology professionals.

The first step will be an update to the master’s program offered by the MIPT+Skolkovo Department of Technology Entrepreneurship. LANIT professionals will develop IT courses and integrate them into the curriculum in the 2026–2027 academic year, while also offering students internship opportunities. Meanwhile, the partners are preparing a new Upravleniye tsifrovym produktom (Digital Product Management) master’s program scheduled to launch in the 2027–2028 academic year. It will train product managers and IT project managers with a strong technical foundation.
“In the age of artificial intelligence, developers need to acquire management skills,” said Vladimir Sakovich, CEO of Sk Capital and head of the MIPT+Skolkovo Department of Technology Entrepreneurship.
Sakovich said the partnership with LANIT will allow students to choose specializations and internships that match their career goals.
Ilona Rozhdestvenskaya, head of university relations at LANIT, said the programs will give students an opportunity to immerse themselves in the profession before they graduate.
