Remote Tax Consultations Reach Rural Communities in Russia’s Amur Region
Residents of three remote villages can now check tax debts and receive consultations online without traveling to a tax office.

The Federal Tax Service’s Amur Region office has launched remote consultations for residents of isolated communities. A virtual reception desk is available every Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. To receive assistance, taxpayers simply follow a link to the agency’s online platform. The free service, which is also used for webinars, features a simple interface and requires no special technical skills. It can be used to resolve most routine tax-related questions and check outstanding tax liabilities.
As part of the project, village administration offices have been equipped with computers that provide access to basic financial services. The systems also include links to the online webinar platform. In addition, taxpayers can join consultations independently using QR codes included in informational materials distributed by the tax service to local administrations. Authorities plan to open at least 30 additional Selsky kabinet locations across the region by the end of 2026.
