Representatives of Rosatom's Mechanical Engineering Division took part in a roundtable discussion in Minsk attended by officials from Belarus' energy and industry ministries, the Belneftekhim state concern, and universities. Participants discussed import substitution projects for Belarus' energy sector, petrochemical industry, and other parts of the economy.

"Today, we are working together not only on the further development of the country's nuclear power generation capacity but also on expanding cooperation in other high-tech sectors of the economy. Good examples include digital simulators and the Center for Additive Technologies. At the same time, we are offering our partners not only equipment and component supplies but also a transition to long-term cooperation models," said Stanislav Levitsky, director of Rosatom's country office in Belarus.

The discussion concluded with a package of proposals aimed at advancing multiple industries. Specialists will begin detailed work on the initiatives in the near future.
