Russia Is Moving Toward a Unified Digital Ecosystem for Healthcare Services
Industry experts say the next stage of healthcare digitalization could allow patients to access most medical services through a single digital platform.

Russia’s healthcare system has reached a level of digital transformation where the conversation is no longer limited to artificial intelligence as a tool for diagnostics and clinical decision support. Experts are now discussing the creation of full-scale digital ecosystems where patients could receive virtually any medical service through a “single-window” platform. The idea was discussed at the Digital Healthcare 2026 conference.
Today, patients can already schedule appointments online, view test results, and receive remote consultations. However, one major issue remains: clinics are at very different stages of digital transformation and often lack integration with each other. As a result, patients frequently cannot access a complete view of their medical history.
Elizaveta Kovaleva, senior manager at Tekhnologii Doveriya (Trust Technologies), believes the solution lies in building a unified ecosystem. In her view, clinics should focus less on creating new standalone tools and more on developing coherent data architectures and transparent digital processes.

Much of the necessary infrastructure already exists: management systems are digitized, AI agents are emerging, and many processes have been automated.
In other words, participants across the healthcare sector need to integrate within a shared digital environment and create a unified communication channel. Such an ecosystem could automate the patient journey through clinics.
Earlier reports said that by 2030 every patient in Russia’s Dagestan region may have a digital twin used for healthcare management.
