Russian Company Integrates Quantum Random Number Generator into Its Cloud Platform
The technology, developed by Astra Group and QRate, enhances data security and supports applications from cryptography to generative AI.

Astra Group, in collaboration with QRate, has launched a pilot software-hardware complex called Astra Cloud equipped with QRate Chaos — a quantum random number generator (QRNG).
The service is available via the Astra Cloud platform and is designed for cryptography, cybersecurity, network protection, testing, and modeling, as well as for supporting generative AI and federated confidential computing. The system can generate cryptographic keys, one-time passwords, tokens, and unique identifiers. It can also be used for lotteries and raffles where verifiable randomness is required. A single generator can securely serve multiple domains and clusters simultaneously.
The new service received the Cyberlight award in the category “Cloud Without Storms” for its innovative contribution to cloud security. The solution is now available for testing and demonstration.
