Russian Students Build AI Travel Planner That Attracts Investors
High school students in Yakutsk have developed a smart travel planning service that automatically designs personalized routes across the Sakha Republic—and it’s already caught investors’ attention.
A team of high school students from Yakutsk has launched the startup 'Tour Route Constructor for the Sakha Republic,' an online service that automatically generates customized travel itineraries for independent tourists. The project was presented during a roundtable discussion titled 'Best Practices for Developing Regional Startup Ecosystems and Venture Investments: Creating the Next Generation of Champion Companies,' held at the Moscow Startup Summit.
The students, participants of the Yakutsk campus of 'School 21,' developed an intuitive platform that uses automation to craft individualized travel routes across the region. The team has already built a minimum viable product (MVP) and signed an agreement to further develop and commercialize the startup.
The Yakutsk campus of 'School 21'—opened in November 2023 as the first on Russia’s Far East—has trained over 1,700 participants through twelve intensive selection programs. Students there design their own startups and attract investors to bring projects to life. As a result, ninety graduates have already secured jobs in regional and national IT companies.
