Russian Messenger MAX Launches English-Language Interface
The update expands the app’s reach beyond Russia

The national messenger MAX has introduced an English-language interface. Users can now send messages, create group chats, and make video calls in English. The update expands the platform’s audience and makes it more accessible for users outside Russia.
Developers say the new version will help international users communicate more easily with friends and family who use MAX.
The language can be changed after updating the app. Settings depend on the operating system. On Android, users can select the language directly in their profile under “App Language.” On iOS, the language is changed through the device’s system settings. The MAX interface will then automatically switch to English.
Service Ecosystem
MAX is positioned as a full-fledged digital platform rather than just a messenger. It supports calls, chats, and voice messages. Users can send large files and even transfer money.
The platform also includes mini-apps and chatbots that allow users to perform various tasks and access information. Informational channels are currently available in test mode.
The messenger is listed in Russia’s official software registry and is available on both mobile devices and desktop computers. As of early March, MAX had reached 100 million users.
