Russia’s Cloudmaster Platform Helps Cosmetics Manufacturer Gain Full Control Over Cloud Infrastructure

A major Russian cosmetics manufacturer has boosted financial transparency and operational control of its hybrid cloud systems thanks to Cloudmaster, a FinOps platform developed by Inferit FinOps under the Softline SF Tech cluster

From Fragmentation to Full Visibility

Before implementing Cloudmaster, Faberlic operated a hybrid cloud infrastructure with 80 percent of its workloads in private cloud environments and 20 percent hosted in public clouds.

This setup created a fragmented picture with no unified accounting of resources, making expenses difficult to track. Compiling financial data required roughly a week and involved both IT and finance teams.

To fix this, Faberlic needed simplified financial governance and a centralized system for collecting consumption metrics and cloud-cost data. The company selected Cloudmaster from Inferit FinOps—Softline’s SF Tech cluster—based on its reputation for delivering full control over complex cloud infrastructures.

The on‑premise version of Cloudmaster was integrated into Faberlic’s environment, consolidating all consumption data and enabling a precise breakdown of cloud costs. As company representatives noted, Cloudmaster dramatically improved transparency and gave department heads the tools needed to plan budgets more effectively.

“Faberlic gained a powerful on‑premise tool for managing a complex infrastructure—one that enables informed decisions about optimization and future development. The company now has complete financial control over both local resources and public‑cloud workloads. For large enterprises with distributed systems, this is absolutely critical.”

Reporting Accelerates Fivefold

The redesigned architecture allowed the company to centralize more than 90 percent of its hybrid cloud under a unified financial control framework. Expense analytics per department accelerated fivefold, and preparing full cloud‑cost reports now takes only one day instead of a week.

Faberlic also highlighted Cloudmaster’s detailed analytical layers for virtual machines and departments, enabling granular cost allocation. The platform’s VM‑level insights helped teams understand the business value of each resource. Staff estimate that expense transparency increased from nearly zero to seven out of ten after the implementation.

The project not only reduced waste—it fundamentally changed how the company manages IT resources, ushering in a data‑driven operational model.

A Step Toward Retail Cloud Modernization

The success of Cloudmaster at Faberlic demonstrates the growing demand for structured, transparent cloud‑cost management in high‑load retail environments. The case shows that Russian developers can deliver enterprise‑grade solutions for hybrid cloud governance, expense optimization, and cross‑team alignment between finance, engineering, and business units.

Cloudmaster strengthens Inferit FinOps’ position as a trustworthy vendor of Russian cloud‑governance tools and is likely to boost demand for local FinOps platforms. As Russian corporate cloud ecosystems mature, the platform may also gain export potential—if adapted to multicloud workflows and international standards.
