Sber Unveils AI Model Designed to Process Context More Like Humans
Sber has introduced its new flagship artificial intelligence model, GigaChat 3.5 Ultra, which delivers improved performance on mathematical problems, financial calculations, and contract analysis, and can independently write and execute code.

The new model is nearly twice as compact as its predecessor while generating long-form text up to four times faster. It is built on Sber's proprietary mixture-of-experts (MoE) architecture with a linear attention mechanism developed in Russia.
According to Sber, development of the model involved more than 1,500 experiments, and training was conducted using human-written, carefully filtered text. On several benchmarks, GigaChat 3.5 Ultra has approached the performance of leading open models, including DeepSeek 3.2. The model is now available free of charge through GigaChat and has also been released to developers as open-source software.
