Next-Generation ‘Alisa’ Can Now Book Tickets, Manage Your Schedule, and Handle Everyday Tasks

Yandex has unveiled a major upgrade to its voice assistant Alisa — now enhanced with built-in AI agents. The new version can independently manage multiple types of user requests, from booking tickets to performing research and even making decisions.

A Concierge and a Personal Assistant Rolled Into One

In a move that marks a milestone for Russia’s IT industry, Yandex has opened early access to AI agents integrated within Alisa. Users can sign up for a waitlist to test the expanded functionality — a first for the Russian market.

The upgraded assistant can now book tickets, reserve tables at restaurants, schedule beauty appointments, find cheaper products, and even conduct short research tasks.

When booking, Alisa contacts businesses directly and schedules appointments at convenient times. If the preferred slot is unavailable, it analyzes user preferences and offers alternatives.

The system’s price-comparison agent identifies similar products across online marketplaces and local retailers, helping users save money. According to Yandex, the new version can also generate code for calculations and analyze articles or datasets for research. These capabilities are powered by three new AI modules — the Booking Agent, the Low-Price Agent, and the Research Agent — which enable Alisa to take practical actions in the external digital environment on behalf of users.

“It’s too early to make definitive conclusions about the technological breakthroughs here, but merging several neural networks into a single family of models, as Yandex has announced, will certainly advance the field.”

Replacing Notes and Phone Reminders

Yandex is also introducing a feature called 'My Memory,' designed to make Alisa a digital organizer for daily life. With this tool, users can dictate to-do lists, and Alisa will turn them into structured entries with reminders, checking off completed items automatically.

The assistant will be able to remember meetings, deadlines, and other personal tasks — essentially replacing the traditional notebook or phone reminder app.

Alisa AI has also expanded its general knowledge base and now provides richer educational support. It can explain Russian grammar rules, help solve equations, or analyze texts and tables — drawing on input from certified teachers who contributed to its educational training. Users can access the new version through Yandex Search, the Alisa mobile app, or alice.yandex.ru. Yandex notes that Alisa now delivers not just text-based answers but also images, map data, and video recommendations, creating a more interactive experience.

Aligned With Global AI Trends

This expansion of Yandex’s virtual assistant capabilities represents a significant step toward personalized, multi-agent AI systems — a trend gaining traction worldwide.

For Russian users, it brings everyday convenience and a deeper integration of AI into routine life. From scheduling appointments to financial planning, Alisa’s new agents take over repetitive, time-consuming tasks, freeing users to focus on higher-value work.

The introduction of multi-agent systems also underscores Russia’s growing expertise in artificial intelligence. Analysts suggest that similar systems could soon be adopted across industries — from banking and insurance to education and healthcare. In the midterm, Alisa with AI agents could become a standard part of Russia’s business landscape and, with the right localization, may even enter international markets.
