Rosatom Advances Data Economy on a Homegrown Platform
Russia’s state nuclear corporation is betting on domestic IT solutions to strengthen the country’s digital sovereignty and reduce reliance on foreign technology.

At the 'IT Sovereignty: Myths and Reality' conference, Igor Chernov, Head of Planning and Reporting at the Rosatom State Corporation, introduced the Corporate Data Warehouse 2.0 (CDW 2.0) project. The large-scale information and analytics system consolidates and standardizes data across Russia’s nuclear industry, providing users with powerful analytical tools.
The platform is built on a domestic technology stack developed by Forsyte/Arenadata and is being implemented by Rosatom’s IT arm, Greenatom, a company focused on creating innovative technological solutions.
In the future, CDW 2.0 will be expanded to include a repository for unstructured data, a digital assistant, and generative AI capabilities for producing analytical reports in natural language.
Greenatom has already completed a major import substitution project, migrating Rosatom’s key fintech system—the Corporation’s Settlement Center—to a Russian database platform. The upgrade ensures uninterrupted processing of more than 15,000 daily transactions across 300 enterprises, without disrupting existing business processes.
