Chuvashia to Introduce Digital System for Assessing Feed Quality
It is the first project of its kind to be implemented in Russia.
Chuvashia will become the first Russian region to introduce AI technologies for assessing feed quality. The project is being implemented with support from the regional government. The new digital system will be tested at the CHUVA agricultural holding.
The technology is designed to speed up the feed procurement process. Currently, farms have to spend considerable time waiting for laboratory results before deciding whether to accept a shipment. The new system can complete the analysis in a couple of minutes. A sample is simply loaded into a dedicated analyzer, after which AI determines the feed’s freshness and nutritional value.
The new technology was jointly developed by the MEGAMIX Group of Companies and Sber. It combines two technologies: NIR analysis, which scans a sample in seconds and determines its composition, and the GigaChat neural network, which checks the results against global knowledge bases and generates a report with mandatory links to its sources.
