TransTeleCom Unveils a New Approach to Enterprise Connectivity
TransTeleCom plans to expand deployment of Netbox, a solution designed to roll out enterprise networks in just a few days.

Reliable, high-quality connectivity has become one of the fundamental requirements for modern businesses. It supports far more than day-to-day employee communications. Without robust network infrastructure, companies cannot effectively deploy cloud services or AI-based platforms that increasingly underpin digital operations.
From Lengthy Network Builds to a Ready-to-Deploy Solution
TransTeleCom recently presented its latest enterprise networking developments at the CNews FORUM "Cases: IT Leaders' Experience." The centerpiece of its presentation was Netbox, an integrated enterprise networking solution. Rather than simply building a dedicated communications network, the offering delivers a complete turnkey infrastructure package. One of its primary advantages is deployment speed. According to Sergey Rodionov, Head of Sales for Corporate and Government Customers at TransTeleCom, rolling out a new enterprise communications system typically takes weeks, whereas Netbox can be brought online within just a few days.
Rodionov also emphasized that redundancy is one of the most critical elements of any communications network. Without it, even the most advanced equipment can become ineffective if a transmission link fails. To address that risk, TransTeleCom has implemented a multi-layer architecture with independent backup data transmission channels. The company says this approach delivers high levels of fault tolerance, measured by multiple "nines" of availability, at a significantly lower cost than building a fully dedicated backup network. That level of efficiency is possible because TransTeleCom controls the entire infrastructure lifecycle, from manufacturing its own fiber-optic cable to configuring equipment and supporting end users, allowing quality control across every stage of deployment and operation.

Responding to Market Demand
The launch of Netbox reflects broader changes in enterprise networking requirements. Organizations are steadily moving away from traditional corporate networks toward software-defined infrastructure based on SD-WAN and SDN technologies. These architectures are finding applications across manufacturing, logistics, retail, and many other industries.
Russia's SD-WAN market began expanding rapidly around 2023. At the same time, enterprises increasingly sought domestically developed solutions as tightening sanctions made dependence on imported technologies substantially riskier.

How the Transition Began
TransTeleCom had already introduced its own platform for deploying and configuring enterprise networking equipment. The company designed the solution to minimize the need for highly specialized and expensive technical personnel. The company also offered to manage customers' server infrastructure, configure and maintain client devices, build the underlying platform, and provide ongoing technical support.
Later in 2023, TransTeleCom began offering enterprise networking services built on SDN technology. A defining feature of the service was its independence from any single carrier's backbone infrastructure. Instead, SDN enables enterprise networks to operate over customers' existing internet access links. When multiple internet connections are available, the architecture not only improves resiliency but also enhances traffic delivery quality.

Other Vendors Are Moving in the Same Direction
Other telecommunications providers have also been actively developing similar offerings. MTS, for example, introduced its own network infrastructure management platform as an alternative to products previously supplied by international vendors that exited the Russian market. The solution, branded Cloud SD-WAN, combines software and hardware for centralized management of geographically distributed enterprise networks spanning offices, retail stores, mobile operator outlets, bank branches, factories, and warehouses.
In effect, the launch of Netbox reflects the broader transformation underway across the enterprise networking market. Telecom providers are increasingly shifting from selling individual connectivity services or standalone products to delivering complete ecosystem-based solutions. That approach improves service quality for enterprise customers and could gradually accelerate the industry's move away from conventional models of building corporate communications networks.
