Ural Clinics Introduce Audio Badges to Reduce Patient Conflicts
The devices are designed to help cut down on disputes between medical staff and patients.

Reception staff at nine outpatient clinics in Russia’s Sverdlovsk region have been equipped with audio badges that record conversations with patients and upload the recordings to a server at the end of each workday.
A neural network then analyzes the dialogues and flags instances where signs of aggression toward patients are detected, with alerts sent to clinic management.
She emphasized that the initiative is not intended as surveillance of staff. Instead, its main purpose is to identify the root causes of collisions and address them.
The system is expected to be rolled out to 57 adult and 36 pediatric healthcare facilities across the region as part of the Poliklinika. Perezagruzka (Polyclinic Reboot) project.
