250 Leading Developments Now Featured on Russia’s “Digital Region” Platform
2025 results of AI adoption in the public sector have been summarized in Russia.
The Center for the Development of Artificial Intelligence under the Government of Russia has named the most popular AI solutions in the country’s regions. The agency specializes in selecting and scaling the best solutions for public administration.
These solutions are featured on the “Digital Region” platform. By the end of 2025, 250 leading developments have been added to the platform. According to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, this number is growing monthly.
AI for Regions
Now, regions have a single window where they can get advice on implementation and select a ready-made solution.
AI is most frequently used in healthcare and public administration – each accounting for a quarter of all solutions. 16% of solutions are related to security, including smart video surveillance, facial recognition, and child tracking systems. Transport and environmental monitoring each account for 9% and 7%, respectively. Commonly used solutions in these areas include smart monitoring and pollution response systems. Solutions in agriculture, education, and social services each account for 2%. One percent is used in construction, such as online monitoring of production sites.
