AI Helps Russians Unlock Their Uniqueness

New research from Moscow State University suggests that artificial intelligence isn’t erasing human individuality—it’s amplifying it
Researchers at Moscow State University (MSU) have found that artificial intelligence can be a powerful tool for self-discovery and self-expression. The study, published in the journal Aktualnaya Kultura, challenges common fears that AI diminishes human identity.
Lead author and MSU associate professor of English Evgeniya Belikova says much of the anxiety around AI stems from technophobia, but reality paints a more optimistic picture. Instead of flattening individuality, AI helps people better understand themselves, adapt to rapid change, and discover new creative outlets.
One of the study’s key findings is that AI fosters the personalization of digital spaces—helping individuals explore their heritage, connect with like-minded people, and even create art that reflects their unique personalities. Far from replacing human creativity, AI is proving to be an ally, expanding the boundaries of self-expression.
The research underscores humanity’s adaptability, showing that technology can enhance, rather than undermine, our creative and cultural potential.
