AI-Powered Safety System Debuts at Bashkortostan Beach
An AI-based safety monitoring system has been launched at the Krasivaya Polyana city beach in Ufa. It is the first deployment of its kind in Bashkortostan, and civic groups are already proposing ways to expand its capabilities.

A chatbot designed to help prevent safety violations is currently operating at the beach in test mode. Members of the Public Chamber of Bashkortostan believe the system could become significantly more capable. Under their proposal, visitors would be able to signal distress using a predefined gesture, which the AI system would recognize and immediately relay to beach administrators. The approach could be particularly valuable in situations where a person is unable to call for help.
The initiative emerged during a large-scale review of city beaches. Members of a temporary working group inspected Krasivaya Polyana and Solnechny beaches, evaluating sanitary conditions, lifeguard operations, infrastructure, and accessibility for people with disabilities. Overall, the beaches were deemed ready for the summer season.
