MegaFon to Launch Yakut-Language Voice Robot
MegaFon and the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) signed a cooperation agreement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026. One of the key projects calls for the deployment of a voice robot that operates in the Yakut language for regional government agencies.
The pilot project envisions the use of the voice assistant across several public institutions, including the regional Civil Registry Office. The system will automate consultations for residents and make information more accessible and convenient. The agreement also covers initiatives in telecommunications, cybersecurity, and the digitalization of public services.
MegaFon will continue expanding telecommunications infrastructure across the republic. Over the next year, the operator plans to extend network coverage along seasonal winter roads and build a digital trunking network to provide resilient communications for government organizations during emergencies.
