AI to Help Russian Taxi Drivers Obtain Work Permits
A neural network now checks uploaded documents automatically, marking valid ones and flagging errors for instant correction.

In Russia’s Moscow Region, officials have introduced artificial intelligence tools to simplify the process of obtaining taxi operation permits. According to the regional Ministry of Public Administration, Information Technology, and Communications, the new system uses a neural network to recognize and analyze documents submitted online by applicants.
Streamlining Public Services
The free digital service, known as “Issuance and Cancellation of Taxi Permits,” allows vehicle owners to register, modify, or remove information about their cars, while transport companies can obtain, update, or revoke operating licenses.
Recently, the platform gained several upgrades: automatic verification of drivers’ tax status and simplified electronic document signing.
By integrating AI into the permit process, regional authorities aim to cut down on errors, speed up approvals, and reduce the bureaucratic burden on drivers — another step toward digitizing public services in Russia’s transportation sector.
