Artificial Intelligence Will Start Monitoring Russian Boiler Houses

In the Moscow region town of Istra, authorities are preparing to put boiler houses under AI control. The system promises to spot malfunctions faster, cut fuel losses, and manage processes remotely.

The initiative was discussed during a working meeting between the Istra district administration and the Government of the Moscow Region.

The program will automatically collect and analyze data from boiler houses, detecting potential deviations in performance and managing processes remotely. By optimizing gas consumption, the system could reduce heat losses by 20 percent and cut fuel usage by 10 percent. Report generation will also be automated.

In the future, the city plans to introduce an SMS notification system for customers of Istra Heat Network. Residents would receive updates about scheduled maintenance, emergencies, or changes in water and heat supply. Messages will be sent anonymously and through secure communication channels, reducing the workload for dispatchers.
