Digital Assistance Service for Older Residents Launches at St. Petersburg MFCs
St. Petersburg’s multifunctional centers have launched a Digital Consultants Service to help older residents use the city’s digital services and protect themselves from fraud.
The project was presented at an MFC in St. Petersburg’s Vasileostrovsky District by Governor Alexander Beglov and Legislative Assembly Chairman Alexander Belsky. The consultants have already begun working at all MFCs across the city. The officials toured a digital literacy classroom and a system that identifies applicants using MAX ID.
The consultants help older St. Petersburg residents pay utility bills, make appointments with doctors and notaries, obtain a digital ID in MAX, and learn how to protect their bank cards and phones from fraudsters.
The project was implemented as part of the Concept for Improving Digital Literacy Among Russian Citizens.
