Garda Updates DDoS Protection for High-Volume Traffic

Garda, a developer of cybersecurity solutions, has released a new version of Garda Anti-DDoS (Anti-DDoS Protection) to defend against sophisticated combined attacks. The update helps keep networks available under heavy loads and when a protection node fails.

One of the main additions is support for Silicom E810 network adapters with 100 Gbps ports and hardware bypass, allowing the system to handle large volumes of traffic. If a protection node fails, the channel continues operating in transparent mode without breaking the connection. Signature management has also been streamlined: the update adds decoding for URL and referrer fields, while repeated rule fragments can now be saved as local variables. Protection against LAND attacks can be enabled with a dedicated setting.

“For companies, DDoS protection is first and foremost about keeping services running and infrastructure resilient. In this release, we focused on two practical goals: improving fault tolerance and reducing the operational burden on cybersecurity teams,” said Vadim Soldatenkov, head of the Garda Anti-DDoS product group.

The release also adds SSH authentication and support for Astra Linux 1.8 and Debian 12.
