Smart Hospitalization Project Shows Strong Results in Moscow
The project has been operating since March of this year.

The first results of the Umnaya gospitalizatsiya (Smart Hospitalization) project have been released in Moscow. The initiative is designed to eliminate the need for patients to independently search for a hospital where they can receive the medical care they need.
The system works as follows. If a physician determines during an initial examination that a patient requires hospitalization, the doctor submits a request through a unified information system. The information then becomes available to all participating hospitals. Medical institutions respond to the request, and the patient can independently choose where to receive treatment through a mobile application.
The project launched in March. In a short period, the number of planned hospitalizations increased by 28%, while the share of patients who had planned treatment but ultimately did not undergo hospitalization fell by one-third. Average waiting times for hospitalization were reduced by a factor of 1.5.
