A new Russian-developed system has been deployed in the power grids of the Novosibirsk Region, Altai Krai, and the Altai Republic. The solution is a monitoring system for grid stability margins, which tracks power flows in real time and optimizes load distribution across the network.

Following the rollout, network capacity increased by 5.1% for incoming flows and by 24.3% for outgoing flows. Notably, these gains were achieved using existing infrastructure, without the need to build new facilities. The technology is now used across 228 controlled sections of the Siberian power system.

The software and hardware system was developed by NTC EES in partnership with the System Operator. It automatically performs calculations and provides dispatchers with real-time data on permissible power transfers based on actual grid conditions. The technology significantly improves operational flexibility and enhances system reliability.
