Filmmaker Vladimir Grammatikov Urges Industry to Learn AI
Film director and screenwriter Vladimir Grammatikov said professionals in the movie industry need to adopt artificial intelligence technologies.

AI adoption in filmmaking is inevitable and already spans nearly every stage of production, from concept development to post-production, he said.
“I’m completely comfortable with it,
because I understand that artificial intelligence won’t ask for permission—it
will come in. And no one will be able to avoid it. I support building a
dialogue with AI,” Grammatikov said in an interview with TASS.
He added that AI is already being actively used in scriptwriting, during filming, and in post-production. At the same time, he cautioned against blindly relying on the technology.
“You need to
build a dialogue and make it work for you, because there’s a very thin line
where it can begin to shape your creative ideas,” he said.
He added that in today’s environment, it is important to strike a balance between creative freedom and the practical demands of the industry.
