Novosibirsk to Host Russia’s First Nationwide Mini-Robot Battle

At the upcoming Technoprom-2025 forum, engineering teams from across Russia will face off in a high-tech showdown of mini-robots.
During the International Technoprom-2025 Forum, Novosibirsk State Technical University will host large-scale competitions featuring battles between mini-robots. Participants will have to showcase not only engineering ingenuity but also skill in controlling their mechanical fighters. Team registration is open until August 20, and the matches promise to be a thrilling spectacle for technology enthusiasts.
The event will have strict entry requirements: each robot must weigh no more than 1.5 kilograms and measure no more than 50 centimeters. To qualify, teams must submit detailed information about their members, as well as photos and design drawings of their robot.
Alongside the mini-robot battles, Novosibirsk engineers are preparing for larger-scale competitions, testing a 100-kilogram robot named Volt, equipped with a powerful rotating spinner.
Regional authorities support the development of engineering skills through such initiatives.
