AI Speeds Up Postal Address Registration in Moscow Region

A new AI-powered system is streamlining one of the region’s most in-demand digital services, cutting errors and processing time.

In Russia’s Moscow Region, the electronic service for assigning postal addresses has been upgraded with artificial intelligence. According to the regional Ministry of Public Administration, IT, and Communications, the new technology is already in active use and significantly simplifies document processing.

Nadezhda Kurtyanik, the regional minister, noted that the 'Address Assignment' service remains one of the most requested features on the regional portal—with more than 100,000 uses since the start of the year. With the AI upgrade, the system now automatically checks uploaded document scans and instantly notifies users of errors. This reduces application processing times and lowers the number of rejections.

Residents can apply through the regional portal in the 'Land' section after logging in via the ESIA authentication system. Once the form is filled out and the required documents are uploaded, the AI reviews the data and immediately flags any issues.
