Residents of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Can Track Urban Improvements Online
Digital twin of the city maps all repair and restoration work in real time
In Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, an online map – a digital twin of the city – now displays all locations of urban improvement and restoration work, according to MK. The interactive service for tracking excavation and repair projects was created to support public oversight. Residents can click on any point on the map to see who is carrying out the work and when it is expected to be completed.
To Improve Contractor Accountability
The data is continuously updated. The platform also includes contact phone numbers, allowing residents to report any violations.
Information is submitted by organizations responsible for excavation and restoration work across the city. The new service is expected to increase contractor accountability in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
Digital tools are also being used to restore historical buildings. In Kazan, all cultural heritage sites have been digitized to support the preparation of restoration documentation.
