Rosatom Opens Third Anchor Laboratory
It has begun operating in the closed town of Seversk.
The third anchor laboratory of the Rosatom state corporation has opened in the closed administrative-territorial formation of Seversk in the Tomsk Region. It was launched under the national project New Nuclear and Energy Technologies.
The laboratory's main task will be training new personnel for the Proryv (Breakthrough) project. MEPhI National Research Nuclear University and Tomsk Polytechnic University will take on the development of educational programs.
Anchor laboratories are created to integrate advanced technological experience into the educational environment as quickly as possible. They are opened at leading universities and industrial organizations. Students and faculty work with real equipment, future technologies, and engineering challenges that are already being applied in Rosatom projects today.
