Roselektronika Develops Digital Connectivity System for Aviation
A new onboard system developed by Roselektronika provides broadband internet access for aircraft and is already in operation, with serial production expected.

Russia has taken another step toward enabling in-flight internet access across its civil aviation fleet. Roselektronika, a holding within the Rostec state corporation, has developed a new digital communications system that delivers broadband connectivity directly onboard aircraft.
The system is not a prototype. It is already in use on a Tu-214 aircraft operated by a commercial airline and is ready for serial production.
Earlier reports indicated that commercial access to satellite internet could become available on Russian aircraft and trains starting in 2027. This would be enabled by the deployment of the Rassvet low-Earth orbit satellite constellation.
