Rostelecom Upgrades Communications Infrastructure in Maykop

Rostelecom has completed a major upgrade of its communications infrastructure in Maykop. Legacy equipment that previously required large indoor facilities has been replaced with compact systems housed in purpose-built telecommunications cabinets installed throughout the city. The cabinets are equipped with backup power supplies, cooling systems, protection from weather, and safeguards against unauthorized access.
The modernization is part of Rostelecom's broader expansion of its fiber-optic network. During the first half of 2026 alone, the national telecommunications provider made fiber broadband available to more than 6,000 additional households in the region. Overall, nearly 90,000 households across the Republic of Adygea now have access to the company's fiber-optic network. The new telecommunications cabinets are designed to ensure uninterrupted network operation.
