Russia Launches Digital Job Platform to Attract Specialists to the Far East

A new service combines job listings with government support programs, aiming to draw professionals to one of the country’s most strategically important but underpopulated regions.

The organization “National Priorities” and tech company Avito have rolled out a digital platform designed to bring skilled workers to Russia’s Far East.

At its core, the service functions as a regional job aggregator. Applicants can quickly search for work in the Far East—where average salaries are 16 percent higher than the national level—apply directly to openings, and review available relocation incentives offered by both the government and employers. The platform covers all 11 regions of the Far Eastern Federal District.

“Leading enterprises in the region offer not only competitive salaries but also comprehensive support programs, ranging from relocation payments to professional retraining. State-backed initiatives such as subsidized mortgages, the ‘Far Eastern Hectare’ land program, and investments in infrastructure and cultural amenities make moving east an increasingly attractive option,” said Sofia Malyavina, CEO of National Priorities.

This is not Russia’s first experiment with such platforms. For example, Moscow residents already use a free digital service when relocating under the city’s urban renovation program.
