Russia Rolls Out Affordable QLED Smart TVs Under Sber Brand

Sber’s latest smart TVs offer quantum-dot displays and AI-powered search—all for under $330.

Russia has launched its first line of budget-friendly smart TVs under the Sber brand, manufactured at the company’s own facility in Novgorod. The 32-inch model retails for just 20,000 rubles (about $220), while the 43-inch version comes in at 30,000 rubles (around $330).

These new devices feature QLED technology, which uses a layer of semiconductor nanocrystals—known as quantum dots—to enhance screen brightness and contrast. When powered by electricity, the crystals emit light that sharpens and enriches the image.

The TVs run on Salyut TV, a homegrown operating system with built-in content search across multiple streaming services, a kids mode, and an AI-driven smart search feature. The AI can identify and launch a movie based on a description, even if the user forgets the title.

Sber has been building a presence in the television market for several years, starting with its Salyut TV software and later branching out into set-top boxes. Mass production of its own branded TVs began in spring 2022.
