Russian Government Agencies Transition to Domestic Telecom Platforms

Russian-made telecom systems are replacing outdated foreign infrastructure, improving communication quality and cutting costs across government offices.
Government employees in the State Assembly of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) are now using the RTU unified communications platform. Developed by Russian tech company SateL, the system doesn't just replace foreign PBX systems—it delivers major performance advantages over outdated imported solutions that no longer meet modern demands.
RTU, short for 'Russian Telephony Node,' is a fully domestic VoIP-based platform built for enhanced reliability. It supports a wide range of communication features found in today's corporate systems. In Yakutia, the system has already earned praise for its ease of use and call quality, while also significantly reducing internal telecommunications costs.
SateL also incorporates a supporting technology called 'Micro RTU,' which ensures connection stability even in remote areas with limited access to the central network. The company expects broader adoption of the system across other regions of Russia as state institutions seek more resilient and cost-effective telecom solutions.
