Russian Company to Conduct Cyber Stress Tests on Digital Ecosystems

Instead of searching for isolated bugs, cybersecurity experts will simulate full-scale hacker attacks to test the resilience of key business processes.

The Russian company T-Technologies is launching a new program to assess the cybersecurity of digital ecosystems through comprehensive cyber stress tests. The methodology focuses on identifying “intolerable events”—critical scenarios that must never occur in real life. Examples include attempts to breach a software supply chain, gain unauthorized access to internal services, or bypass monitoring systems. The tests will cover the company’s entire range of online resources.

Systems Will Be Tested for Resilience

Each simulated attack is designed to reveal the strength—or weakness—of a digital infrastructure as a whole. Researchers are granted full freedom of action: they can target mobile apps, APIs, business logic, and partner integrations.

This approach elevates cybersecurity from patching isolated vulnerabilities to assessing full-scale system resilience. The stress tests aim to verify the readiness of financial ecosystems against major cyberattacks. In the future, such programs could become a new industry standard for building trust in the fintech sector.
