Russian Bank Tests AI Business Assistant Through MAX Messenger
Promsvyazbank is piloting an AI-powered chatbot inside Russia’s national messenger, aiming to turn digital conversations into a platform for banking and business growth.

At the Finopolis-2025 forum, Promsvyazbank (PSB) unveiled a pilot service that integrates an AI-driven business assistant directly into MAX, Russia’s national messenger.
The assistant, designed for small and medium-sized businesses, enables entrepreneurs to perform banking operations within the chat interface. Beyond transactions, it also supports practical tasks such as hiring staff, managing social media promotion, and trading on online marketplaces. For now, the service runs in pilot mode, but the bank promised to roll it out to all PSB clients soon.
Beyond Messaging
MAX itself is evolving into a full-scale business ecosystem, with data security and compliance with Russian law at its core. The platform is positioning itself not just as a communications tool, but as digital infrastructure for commerce and administration.
Earlier this year, MAX introduced a chatbot service for document signing through the state-backed Goskey app, allowing users to complete contracts, court filings, and other legal paperwork directly within the messenger.
Together, these services point to a larger shift: Russia is building secure, domestically controlled platforms that combine communication, finance, and governance in one place.
