Russian AI Is to Guard Buildings at Night
A smart video analytics system is designed to alert security teams to unauthorized intrusions.
NtechLab, an AI-powered video analytics company, has unveiled a “digital night guard,” an AI-powered video analytics system designed to detect unauthorized access at a wide range of facilities, RIA Novosti reported. The system automatically flags intrusions and sends alerts to security services. The solution was developed in partnership with Rostec.
According to the company’s press service, the neural network analyzes live camera feeds, identifies abnormal situations, and forwards alerts to a security post or dispatch center. The technology is intended to support security teams during night-time operations.
Keeping Order
NtechLab’s video analytics tools are also used to monitor public spaces, identify offenders, locate missing persons, detect illegal dumping, and flag dog walking in restricted areas. In the Yamalo-Nenets region, for example, smart cameras have been installed in heated bus stop shelters. If someone attempts to damage the structure, an alert is immediately sent to emergency services, while an audible warning is played inside the shelter.
