Russian IT holding T1 has introduced a new integrated retail platform that combines software, equipment, and services into a single system. The solution is designed to support a wide range of retail formats, from grocery chains to gas stations and restaurants.

The ecosystem, called Tillium, targets multiple segments, including food retail, HoReCa, gas stations, and non-food stores. It brings together point-of-sale software, hardware, and infrastructure management tools within a unified framework.

The platform includes Tillium Kassa (POS software), Tillium KSO for self-checkout systems, and Tillium Manager for centralized control of checkout infrastructure, as well as a dedicated solution tailored for gas station networks. Retailers can deploy the full system or introduce individual modules gradually.

The ecosystem integrates computer vision services. “Smart scales” can identify products within fractions of a second with up to 99% accuracy. Self-checkout systems for food service can recognize dishes on a tray and automatically generate a receipt. These capabilities allow stores to process transactions faster and reduce checkout errors. Fewer manual operations increase throughput at checkout and lower the risk of mistakes.

All components of the system were developed in Russia and are included in the Ministry of Digital Development’s registry. The architecture supports phased deployment, allowing retailers to start with individual modules and expand over time as their business grows. This approach reduces initial implementation costs while preserving the ability to scale infrastructure quickly.

The system also includes age verification features at self-checkout. Using biometric technology, it can automatically determine whether age confirmation is required. According to the company, the cost of a single age check is reduced by more than half, from about 6 rubles to approximately 2.5 rubles (around $0.03).
