Tatneft is expanding the use of predictive analytics and digital management tools in its oil operations.

The company has already tested a predictive failure analysis system for surface drives of sucker rod pump units using acoustic data and artificial intelligence tools. To detect defects at early stages, specialists analyze and process electric motor current signals. Wells are also being equipped with contactless emergency protection devices that help monitor the condition of key components in pumpjacks and other equipment. AI tools are also used by service organizations. In addition, a machine-vision system has been deployed on six repair lines. The company is also considering introducing robots into production.

Speed and Autonomy

Earlier, Tatneft specialists presented an upgraded integrated chemical dosing system at the Higher School of Oil in Almetyevsk.

The upgraded system now not only records and archives operational parameters in real time but also allows remote control of injection modes without requiring workers at the wellhead. This eliminates human error and improves response speed.
