Russia’s generative artificial intelligence market expanded fivefold in 2025, according to data shared by Sber. A study by Strategy Partners, the bank’s subsidiary, found that 97 percent of large Russian enterprises are either implementing AI solutions or planning to do so. Companies are increasingly moving beyond chatbots toward multi-agent systems capable of handling tasks end to end.
Half of industrial companies are ready to introduce AI into production processes, and 42 percent have already integrated it into automation systems. Where AI is deployed at scale, output and productivity have risen by 20 percent, while resource optimization has improved by 15 percent.
Strategy and Scale
According to Anatoly Popov, deputy chairman of Sber’s management board, industry now requires solutions that comply with federal legislation and corporate security standards.
By 2030, according to the National AI Development Strategy, artificial intelligence technologies are expected to contribute more than 11 trillion rubles to Russia’s GDP (approximately $132 billion at current exchange rates).
