Russian Scientists Launch Cognitive Age Calculator
An online platform developed in Nizhny Novgorod uses machine learning to estimate how fast the human brain is aging.

Researchers at Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod have patented a tool that measures the rate of brain aging. The online calculator is built on a machine learning model called Cognitive-Age-V, which integrates results from five tests to assess memory, attention, logical reasoning, reaction speed, and color perception.

According to study lead Mikhail Ivanchenko, director of the Research Institute of Biology of Aging, cognitive age reflects the actual state of neural processes.
Using artificial intelligence, the algorithm identifies which functions contribute most to accelerated aging or, conversely, help slow it down.
The model’s accuracy is comparable to MRI and EEG benchmarks.
The system is being rolled out at healthy longevity centers operated by Rosatom and the Federal Medical-Biological Agency, as well as in preventive medicine clinics.
