Tatneft Completes Automation of Cluster Pumping Stations
Intelligent algorithms continuously monitor the equipment.
Tatneft has completed the automation of its cluster pumping stations. This year, the company switched its final seven facilities to fully autonomous operation without on-site staff, including KNS-1417 at the Sirenevskoye field operated by the Yamashneft Oil and Gas Production Division.
The facility has been equipped with intelligent control systems and electrically actuated valves. Dedicated sensors collect temperature and pressure data, while the machine room has a video surveillance system with video analytics. Algorithms manage the equipment, not only collecting information but also interacting directly with the machinery. Data is transmitted to the control room in real time. Cameras equipped with a Black Screen function automatically display footage on the unified dispatch service screen when an abnormal situation occurs.
The company noted, however, that this does not mean eliminating human involvement entirely. The technology handles routine operations, while employees retain oversight and make key decisions.
