Over two years, the Tsifrovaya reanimatsiya (Digital ICU) service in Moscow hospitals has sent more than 300,000 updates to relatives of patients in intensive care units.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said on social media that the digital tool has been rolled out across all adult multidisciplinary hospitals in the city.

Comfort for Patients and Families

The service automates key processes related to treatment in intensive care units and automatically notifies relatives when a patient is admitted. Updates are sent daily while the patient remains in intensive care, until transfer to another department or discharge.

“It allows all patient monitoring data from the intensive care unit to be collected in digital form. Doctors can access all necessary information on a tablet, track the effectiveness of prescribed therapy, and determine the next course of treatment,” Sobyanin said.
