Juan Manuel Rincon: Artificial Intelligence Opens Up New Opportunities for the Creative Industries
The 2nd Global Digital Forum wrapped up in Moscow after three days of discussions on developing digital services and strengthening technological independence.

Juan Manuel Rincon, a special adviser from Colombia on creative industries and international cooperation, spoke to a correspondent for the IT Russia media platform about the potential of artificial intelligence in the creative industries and cooperation between Russia and Latin American countries.
– I believe artificial intelligence and modern technologies can help the creative industries grow and open up new opportunities for low-income people, rural residents and vulnerable groups. A new type of economy is emerging, one in which even young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods can gain access to advanced technologies. Today, AI is helping create new jobs and products in areas such as animation, music production and culture. It can also stimulate creativity, paving the way for new opportunities for economic growth and development.
Russia can play an important role in overcoming skepticism about artificial intelligence because it is an innovative, high-tech country. It can help Latin America, including by sharing its achievements. Russian investment in Latin America, as well as reciprocal investment, could help the industry grow.
I believe there are opportunities to expand international cooperation further. For example, the Russian high-tech company Yandex is training employees in Colombia using tools such as artificial intelligence.
I am confident that countries can continue to develop this cooperation. Russia is known for its scientific achievements. Now is a good time for Russia to expand its presence not only in Colombia but throughout Latin America.
