Karim Abouldahab: It Is Important for Our Researchers and Scientists to Work Together

Representatives from 120 countries gathered in Moscow on October 8–10 for the 2nd Global Digital Forum to discuss the development of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital sovereignty, as well as ways to narrow the technology gap between countries.

Karim Abouldahab, a representative of Cairo University of Technology in Egypt, spoke to the IT Russia media platform about the digital challenges that are particularly pressing for different countries and the solutions that could help address them.

– I really enjoyed many aspects of this conference, but what interested me most was the opportunity to collaborate with potential partners from Lomonosov Moscow State University. I hope we can make that happen. I’m also glad to meet colleagues from other countries, including South Africa and India.

I believe it is very important to strengthen cooperation between our countries, particularly in science, so that we can understand the main challenges we face. One of them is digital payments. The approaches used in Russia, China, and Egypt differ significantly. They also differ from those used in other BRICS countries, such as Brazil and South Africa.

It is important to me that our researchers and scientists work together and share their experience
